Business Analyst - Energy

The role is an immediate and long term contract role for an experienced Business Analyst with prior Energy Company experience.

This minimum 6 month contract will initially focus on designing and documenting processes for Electricity and Gas.

Required Skills:

-SQL (ideally TSQL using Microsoft Management Studio)
-Advanced Microsoft Excel
-MDX (ideal but not essential)
-Knowledge of data modelling (Inman, Kimball), data warehouse and data mart principals.
-ERwin (preferable)
-Able to produce high quality requirements specifications and articulate those to members of the project team.
-Appreciation of data warehouse and BI development and testing.
-Data querying, profiling and analysis skills

What is expected of the candidate?

-Excellent detailed requirement gathering and documentation skills
-Excellent written and verbal communications skills is essential
-Exposure to both waterfall and agile project life cycle and methodologies
-Following up on open issues to ensure closure
-Following up on sign off of project documentation
-Project administration
-Maintain the Change, Risk and Issue Log
-Running test scripts (integration and UAT)
