For our client, an international bank based in Zurich, we are looking for candidates for the following role:

BUSINESS ANALYST

Location: Zurich

Duration: end of the year, extension possible

We are looking for Business Analysts to join the project team comprising representatives from Finance, MLRM global and divisional and modelling.

Project/Role Responsibilities:

- SME requirement with specialist knowledge of IRRBB and QRM platform to work on-hands on configuration of QRM and support the delivery of FINMA regulatory commitment due Dec 2017.
- The candidate will be responsible to contribute to the IRRBB project that needs to ensure regulatory compliance. The candidates responsibility will be developing and implementing structural interest rate risk analytics that measure, monitor and report interest risks, earnings and other risk metrics for the bank assets and liabilities.
- In order to facilitate calculation runs that are computationally feasible, an adequate definition of requirements in the Management Repository QRM component is key.
- Understanding the requirements of the modellers, the target state modelling approach and the speed/accuracy trade-offs entailed by the repository management..
- Positing an approach to product aggregation that provides an optimal tradeoff in terms of speed/accuracy. This may involve negotiating a compromise between stakeholder preferences and what is pragmatically deliverable by the QRM platform.
- Describing the agreed stratification approach in a comprehensive clear specification that can be used by implementers.

Challenges Contractor will be facing in this role:

The main challenge is to be able to manage the change to be compliant by end of the year: the task will involve aligning all the stakeholders (including senior managers) of different divisions/legal entities on process, data and reporting as well as performing hands on configuration tasks.

Essentials Skills and Qualifications:

- Previous experience in QRM implementation/configuration would be extremely beneficial in particular familiarization with QRM Stratification functionality, repository managements
- Knowledge of core banking book products (loans, deposits and hedging instruments) and behavioural modelling (in particular for NMP deposits), IRRBB requirements and earnings at Risk
- Knowledge of ALM, replication and FTP concepts
- (Basic) knowledge of accounting, familiarity with market data and products valuation
- Understanding and management of inputs/requirements from other departments
- Products definition
- Accounts definition
- Modelling definition - set up of modelling assumptions
- Market data definition - in parallel and subject to deliverables of step 1/3
- Scenarios and strategies definition - set up of stressed scenarios and planning trees/strategies
- Dry run - set up of full Balance Sheet, validation of position data, validation of baseline NII, validation of NII at Risk
- Reports definition - set up of reports/data output as required by reporting workstream
- Go-live support
