For our client, global banking company, located in Zurich is looking for BUSINESS ANALYST FOR A 6-MONTHS CONTRACT.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Business Analyst role is part of the Liquidity & Funding (L&F) Controlling team, responsible for L&F regulatory reporting. The team is part of Integrated Middle Office Financial Controlling (IMOFC) within the overall Finance function.
Specifically this role is responsible for implementing changes to models and reports required as a result of the implementation of IFRS9 with effect from 1 January 2018. The models and reports affected are those used for external L&F regulatory reporting, including Liquidity Coverage Ratio (LCR), Net Stable Funding Ratio (NSFR), Additional Liquidity Monitoring Tools (ALMTs) as well as internal L&F models. The models and reports are owned and operated by IMOFC and Group Treasury.
THIS IS A PROJECT ROLE INCLUDING A NUMBER OF TASKS AS REQUIRED. THESE INCLUDE:
. Obtaining a in depth understanding of the changes to the ledger as a result of IFRS9 implementation
. For each model and report, identification of the detailed impacts of the IFRS9 changes
. Working with model and report owners to ensure they are updated to incorporate IFRS9 changes
. System Testing of models and reports to ensure the results are in line with expectations
. Ensuring smooth transition of the models and reports/outputs on implementation of IFRS9
. Documentation and reporting of project progress
YOUR EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
. Experience in large data set analysis
. Business Analysis and IT change experience
. Strong attention to detail
. Numerical and logical mindset
. Advance Business Objects end-user experience (or advanced end-user skill set in a similar reporting tool - training for specific BO Web Intelligence reporting setup will be provided)
. Excellent Microsoft Excel, Word & Powerpoint skills
. Excellent communication skills
. Ability to prioritise own work effectively
. Qualified or Part-Qualified Accountant
. Prior experience in banking (especially with Balance Sheet and Securities Financing Transactions) would be an advantage
. Experience with Oracle databases including SQL queries
