Business Analyst

An exciting opportunity for an BUSINESS ANALYST is available in Brussels, major center for international politics and home of numerous international organizations, politicians, diplomats and civil servants.

NATURE OF TASKS:

- Analysis of enterprise-wide business requirements
- Process analysis and modelling
- Definition of baseline and target business architectures
- Domain model analysis and representation, Datamodelling
- Assistance with mapping business processes and their respective requirements onto IT capabilities
- Risk analysis and security assessments
- Functional requirements gathering
- Assistance in drafting Vision documents

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERTISE REQUIRED:

- At least 13 years of higher studies + professional experience
- Hands-on experience with Unified Modelling Language (UML) and UML tools (ideally Enterprise Architect, Visio or Eclipse)
- Hands-on experience with business process modelling (BPMN) and BPMN tools, ideally Enterprise Architect (or ARIS)
- Project management and IT project development methodologies, ideally PM2, RUP or Agile
- Hands-on experience in domain modelling
- Proven experience with enterprise data architecture and governance
- Expertise in drafting IT projects analysis documents and artefacts
- Expertise in organising and carrying out interviews and workshops with stakeholders to collect business process descriptions and business needs
- Expertise in business process analysis and optimisation
- Excellent knowledge of English
- French language would be considered an asset
- Physical data modelling, RDBMS, SOA, object/component-oriented system design, J2EE, wold be an asset.

The candidate should be able to start the position as soon as possible. This position is offered as a long term freelance contract.
