We are currently recruiting for an English and French speaking Business Analyst to join a large institution located in Brussels. Our client is in the legal and regulatory sector.
To be considered you will need around 18 Years overall experience, with 15 years relevant to the specific domain!
ROLE SUMMARY:
- Translate requirements (business, system, software) into high-quality technical specifications (product/system User Stories, Use Cases, mock-ups, sequence- diagrams, OO model, data model, etc.);
- Participate in meetings with business owners, end users and other stakeholders;
- Produce or contribute to the following RUP artefacts: Vision Document, Design model; Software Development Plan; Use case specification; Analysis model; Design model; Data model; Software Architecture Document; Configuration Management Plan; Deployment Plan, and Release Notes
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- The portal will rely on HTML5, AJAX framework such as bootstrap, REST web services.
- Interoperability is achieved based on SOA principles and Oracle Service Bus.
- The development is adhering to the Java-based reference architecture based on spring, spring MVC, JPA, Hibernate, JAX-WS, and JSF.
- Data is stored in Oracle Database 11g.
- Development is based on Rational Unified Process and the Rational Tools (eg Team
- Concert, Software Modeler, Software Architect and Requisite Pro).
DESIRED ATTRIBUTES:
- Rapid self-starting capability and experience in team working.
- Proactive attitude, communicative (ie good listener) and customer-oriented.
- Expert level knowledge in the following areas:
- Technical competencies: Knowledge of software development methodologies (eg
RUP)
- Working methods: In depth knowledge of large organization administrative business processes and modelling tools
- Documentation: Strong capacity in preparing and writing reports
REQUIRED SPECIFIC EXPERTISE (LEVEL 5):
Business analysis tools (eg Aris), modelling tools (eg UML) or project methodologies
(eg RUP)
