Business Analyst

For our international client in The Hague (NL) we are looking for a Business Analyst.

Location: The Hague

Start: 9-6-2014

Duration: 7 months + option to extend

Hourly rate: €60

40 hrs./week

Project/Delivery Line Description
1. Analyze the requirements for WRFM SS&W Portal in TFS (Technical Functional Specifications) system. Discuss with technical lead if the requirements are technically possible and efforts needed, possible timing to implement
2. Organize and run Super Users meetings (TAP), to discuss requirements in TFS for the improvement of the IT tools (DREAM, e-books, SWED). Prioritize those TFS requirements based on feedback from the TAP, translate them into change request/new specifications
3. Organize and run CAB (change approval board) to have the new requirements/change request agreed and signed off by Product owner before handing it over to development team
4. Translate the approved requirement/change request into detailed requirements that the development team can work on
5. Clarify business needs whenever asked by development team
6. Have in-depth product and business knowledge to provide IT tools demo and recommend best practices based on common functionalities of the tools

Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Elicit, analyze, catalog and manage requirements for subsurface components of the company's WRFM Portal IT Toolset based on global and regional business and IT needs.
2. Gather requirements from the global business as well as from regional businesses and
translate these into functional requirements
3. Define non-functional requirements based on the tools' infrastructure needs and the architecture IT roadmap 4. Work with technical leads.

Technical Skills and Experience:
- Relevant education at degree master level
- Experience in Oil & Gas operation will be an advantage
- Knowledge on Business Objects, Oracle, MS SQL, SAP applications, .NET technology will be an advantage
- Attention to detail and ability to write-up software technical specifications
- Good understanding of the software engineering life cycle for development and the concepts and practices required to implement effective information systems
