Business Analyst

Business Analyst to work within a well regarded federal government agency.

SELECTION CRITERIA is due on 8th April 2013.

- identify and document business requirements through workshops, interviews and other requirements gathering techniques
- translate formal and informal business requirements into functional specifications
- acquire business and corporate knowledge surrounding processes and software quickly with minimal direction
- use your communication and negotiation skills to liaise between business owners, business users and IT technical staff to ensure appropriate solutions/designs are documented and implemented
- deliver reliable, high quality work to tight time-frames as an individual and as part of a team.

Your responsibilities will include:- - Capture business requirements, document functional and technical specifications and collaboratively prepare logical design documentation
- Management of end-to-end processes including scoping, analysing, documenting, communicating and managing the design, implementation and user acceptance testing
- Systems analysis activities including writing systems requirements specifications and information architecture documents
- Provide technical advice to other staff
- Participate in skills transfer as required
- Mentor junior staff.

To be eligible for this role, you will need to hold a current NEGATIVE VETTING 1 level security clearance.

Australian citizenship is a requirement of this position.

Contract commences 1 July 2013 - 30 June 2014
