Business Analyst

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Maintain effective working relationships, liaise with business groups, technology groups and vendors as well as facilitate and lead workshops
- Estimate business analysis effort for projects and coordinate project and admin responsibilities with the project manager
- Elicit and document clear and detailed requirements using a variety of BA techniques to derive process and technology solutions through all phases of project delivery
- Work with the business and project teams while using a variety of modelling techniques such as business models, process models, data models, workflow models, entity relationship diagrams, functional decomposition diagrams and use case models to examine the 'As-Is' state and to create the ideal 'To-Be' state
- Gain a clear understanding of IT products and tools, understand interconnectivity and relationships between system and information architecture as well as the impacts they may have within a project solution environment
- Develop and validate a solution vision and scope in conjunction with internal & external technical resources, assist with documentation of the solution design and configuration of system changes as required
- Perform Gap Analysis, requirements validation and traceability throughout the project to ensure that requirements have been met
- Perform quality assurance and testing of solutions to ensure accuracy, efficiency and robustness and to ensure that the requirements have been met
- Coordinate User Acceptance testing activities, issue traceability and workshops
- Successfully provide data sets and data conversion for project test phases and migration
- Identify issues/risks and work with the project manager to reduce impacts to projects
- Provide End-user support and complement the training team's efforts

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

- Relevant tertiary qualifications
- Solid background in business analysis
- Strong E-commerce/portal experience
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Sound knowledge of project methodologies, frameworks and tools with strong experience using SDLC
- Experience understanding commercial business drivers and an appreciation of these in the context of technology
- Technical skills to perform data analysis and system configurations changes
