Business Analyst

Advises and recommends areas of program planning, business requirements management, budget execution and program coordination. Prepares needs assessment. Validates resource requirements and develops cost estimate models. Conducts and coordinates financial, product, market, operational, and related research to support strategic and business planning within the various departments and programs of the client group. Interprets, evaluates, and interrelates research data, and develops integrated business analyses and projections for incorporation into strategic decision-making. Develops business cases based on data, business need, and return on investment. Plans and coordinates the development of primary and secondary market research studies in support of strategic planning and specific marketing initiatives, as required, and presents findings of studies to client committees. Provides consultative, advisory, technical, and staff support, as appropriate. Ability to use survey and market research methodologies, systems, and techniques. Experience Level: BA or BS required plus minimum 3+ years of direct relevant experience.

Hours and days: 8 - 5, M - F, No OT.

Experience Requirements:
We are looking for someone who has strong Access and Excel experience. They need to bring together large amounts of aggregate data and synthsize it into a report. The ideal candidate would have previous KP experience. Work Environment: Cubicle.

Scope of the project:
We have a report that has analysis and sourcing for hard to fill positions. This position will look at existing job data, putting together various reports to help us to plan for future needs. Develop business cases to help support business activities described in the hard to fill business report based on disparate data.

Top 3 skills needed to succeed in this position:
1. Strong MS Office experience, especially with data and reporting.
2. Ability to access various Kaiser systems to aggregate data.
3. Previous experience developing business cases.

Top 5 daily responsibilities:
Working with one person who wrote the Hard to Fill report. Collaborating. Participating in meetings. Taking data from different sources and synthesizing it in one report to help fill positions. This position will help with workforce forecasting. We need the data to inform us how we should plan.

Educational Requirements Bachelor degree required plus 3 years exp. this position report to a health screen.

The BA will be working with the National Workforce Planning and Development team to support the regional staffing. The person should be comfortable with working with HR and metrics (not financial data), human measurements. Job code info, training times, recruitment patterns. Having a financial background is fine, but it would be great if they had experience in operating budgets, etc. There is more than just dollars and cents being measured here. We need someone who can bring creativity and insight to this position.
