Business Analyst

Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business systems and user needs. Formulates systems to parallel overall business strategies. May require a Bachelor's degree in a related area and 7-9 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and per-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment.

Comments:
Required: 2 years experience redesigning business processes, onboarding people to new processes, and following up to ensure adherence to new processes.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Analytical:

- Document business process flows with expected SLAs for mobility inventory processes.
- Analyze and identify inefficiencies in existing mobility business processes, design better processes to solve the inefficiencies, and get buy-in from participants to adopt the new processes.

Operational:

- Maintain accurate inventory of all PPD-owned mobile devices and accessories.
- Manage the device spare pool inventory and reordering process, based on weekly reports of the current status of all PPD-owned devices and accessories.
- Manage the project to follow up on lists of folks who have not installed GOOD on their device when such lists are passed to us by GIS.
- Follow up with users who use install GOOD on their personal device, which is in violation of policies.
- Evaluate and respond to requests for iPads from those not clearly qualified to get iPads or PPD-funded iPads.
- Ensure that any PPD devices issued to employees who transfer out of PPD are retrieved and returned to PPD's spare pool inventory.
- Ensure that any PPD devices issued to employees who terminate are retrieved and returned to PPD's spare pool inventory.
- Monitor turnaround on iPad requests and ensure that they are meeting SLAs for that user group.
- Monitor turnaround on PPD iPads in Apple Care and ensure that they are returned within a reasonable timeframe.
- Ensure that PPD mobile device and accessory inventory in J28 is segregated from that of other divisions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Extreme attention to detail
- Experience redesigning business processes, and documenting them using VISIO.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Persistence in following up on open items.
- Takes personal accountability for finding answers and information and fixing process problems.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with MS Excel, MS Word, and VISIO
- Cares about the work, and gets it done

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

- At least 6 months working as an employee or contractor
- Mobility experience
