Business Analyst

A great contract opportunity has become available for a skilled Business Analyst to join one of the most critical State Government organisations in NSW. Assisting on a major upgrade of the organisation's ICT infrastructure, you will be responsible for the analysis, selection, development and delivery of complex and innovative solutions.

THE ROLE:

- Preparing accurate business requirement documents and functional specifications for business processes and solutions
- Gathering critical information via a variety of methods, eg coordinate and facilitate workshops, discussions etc
- Document the business user requirements for new or changed business processes and software systems to integrate into TENDER DOCUMENT
- Work with developers to evaluate system solutions and ensure they are meeting client requirements
- Use strategic analysis techniques to investigate current business processes, re-engineer where needed to improve efficiency/effectiveness/usability
- Assist with building a business case, which will include the options that have been analysed, impact assessments and funding proposals

YOUR BACKGROUND:

- Proven successful experience as a Business Analyst, developing business requirements from abstract briefs and preparing functional and non-functional specifications with complex/large information systems
- Experience with incorporating functional/non functional requirements into TENDER DOCUMENTS
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Project, Excel, Visio and PowerPoint etc
- Experience with business process modelling tools and techniques, such as BPMN
- Ability to develop instructional and procedural documentation and presentations
- The ability to build effective working relationships with customers, other key stakeholders and suppliers
- Excellent organisational, time management and prioritising skills
