Job Role: Building & Civil Engineering Surveyor (B&CE)
Location: Portsmouth
Contract Length: 7 Month Contract
Rate: £209 a day

This is a great opportunity to join a leading defence company on a contract basis. They are actively looking for a Building & Civil Engineering Surveyor to join the team based in Portsmouth for 7 months.

Candidates must be enthusiastic, good communicators and be able to demonstrate practical surveying skills. You will be able to carry out surveys on the buildings, roads and infrastructure within the base, identify building defects and offer solutions to resolve any issues identified, write up reports and specifications and provide sound estimations of potential costs involved.

You will ideally:
-Have appropriate qualifications in a relevant building or construction related subject.
-Have a good knowledge of building construction technology and building pathology.
-Have a good working knowledge of the building regulations and appropriate legislation.
-Have knowledge and be able to apply construction related healthin particular be able to demonstrate practical IT skills using Outlook, Word and Excel and be familiar with databases.
-Be organised and methodical when undertaking surveys, preparing or managing appointments and workload priorities.
