Build Engineer

Our client is the world's most recognized software brand seeking a BUILD ENGINEER to help create, maintain, and deliver build systems for User Assistance, Sustained Engineering, Foundation, and Application teams. These are managed across multiple sites around the world and across multiple product versions.

DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Monitor daily builds, debug and resolve issues
- Monitor gated check-ins, debug and resolve issues
- Investigate and fix bugs within the current build systems

QUALIFICATIONS:

- 0-2 plus years work related experience required
- Knowledge of Windows required; knowledge of Windows NT may be required
- Debugging systems
- Knowledge of multiple programming languages; knowledge of Perl or C++ preferred
- Knowledge of source code control systems required
- Visual Studio - prefer at least 1-2 years
- MS Build - knowledge preferred, experience a bonus
- SourceSafe, Raid, and or Source Depot preferred
- Perform basic build lab management (machine configuration, monitoring, etc.)
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently, and as part of a team required
- Familiarity with product development cycle and with international issues may be required
- Experience with SQL Server and ODBC preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred

This contract position is expected to be 12 months in duration.
