Build/Deploy Specialist

OUR CLIENT, AN IT COMPANY, IS LOOKING FOR BUILD/DEPLOY SPECIALIST TO WORK ON A 7 MONTH CONTRACT IN DARESBURY, WARRINGTON AREA.

ALL CANDIDATES MUST HAVE VALID DV CLEARANCE OR BE ELIGIBLE TO UNDERGO THE DV CLEARANCE PROCESS.

CORE DUTIES:

- Supporting Applications that are already operational
- Supporting people who build the systems, testing and investigating issues
- Installing new versions of software, involved in upgrades, supporting desktop changes and support to end users
- Production of condition lists based on Specifications, Requirements, Interface Specifications, verbal communications etc. (functional and non-functional)
- Production of Test Specifications and Test Data based on condition list (functional and non-functional, automated and manual)
- Execution of test scripts and documentation of results (functional and non-functional
- Recording and investigation of defects through to resolution - liaising with developers, designers, architects and end-users as required
- Regular reporting of progress and issues
- Contribution to/production of Test Plans detailing the overview of testing required in an area (functional or non-functional)

REQUIREMENTS:

- Strong experience required in Linux Red Hat - at least 2 years as a Red Hat enterprise Linux system administrator (RHEL5)
- Essential - MS Office, XML
- Experience in the use of ping nslookup, netstat and other troubleshooting tools would be beneficial
- Unix skills (basic, Shell Scripting) & Experience of Automated Test Tools in particular Rational Functional Tester desirable
