Build and Release Manager (m/w) - 6 Months+

For our Telecommunications customer in Munich, Germany we are currently searching for a Build and Release Manager (w/m)

PROJECT START:13.10.14

PROJECT DURATION:6 Months

LOCATION: Munich

KNOW-HOW:

-Deliver software release builds based on requested content
-Release software in cooperation with the product delivery manager (PDM)
-Create release information and relevant documents
-Determine and document the deviations from the requested release content
-Coordinate the software package deliveries to external parties and customers
-Update the infrastructure tools for each release with relevant info
-Ensure process compliance and proactively improve workflows, best practices and tools
-Generate software builds
-Troubleshoot , investigate and root-cause build and compilation errors in the software buienvironment
-Root-cause build failures and compilation errors
-Generate software packages for delivery towards external customers and 3rd parties
-Support the configuration management team in setting up new projects
-Validate new compilation tools

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

- Minimum BSc/MSc in Communication Engineering, Software Engineering or similar area oftechnology
-5+ years hands-on experience in build and release management
-Proficient in configuration management systems such as IBM Clearcase, GIT
-Strong background in build management and software support tools (Gerrit, Jenkins or Hudson)
-Solid experience in makefiles (ideally GNU) in a multi-OS environment (Unix, Linux, Windows)
-Basic knowledge of Android build architecture and framework
-Strong analytical skills; must be able to analyse build failures and makefile issues.
-Basic understanding of software development processes with a focus on continuous integration
-Programming experience in C, C++ and UML modelling (Rational Tau) is considered a plus

LANGUAGE:

- Written and spoken English know-how is demanded, all documentation will be in English
- German knowledge would be beneficial
