ROLE - Broker Monitoring Analyst

PURPOSE OF THE PROGRAMME

Broker Monitoring Analyst required - Our main function is to ensure that the quality of mortgage business submitted to the brands via an intermediary channel is of acceptable standard. Using proven investigation and communication skills, the successful candidate will be liaising with internal and external stakeholders to protect the bank from poor quality and fraudulent submissions. The candidate will also be expected to improve the relationship between the Risk Team and key account networks and broker firms on the panel. Reporting to the Team Manager, Broker Monitoring, you will be responsible for the investigation of Broker Applications to identify quality and/or fraud issues. Investigators are required to conduct all reviews in line with current policy whilst ensuring minimum customer impact while improving and strengthening valuable relationships with Brokers on our Panel.

CORE SKILLS

- EXPERIENCE IN MORTGAGES ESSENTIAL.
- Liaise with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure the quality of mortgage business submission provided by Brokers assigned to the intermediary panel is of acceptable standard.
- Request mortgage application details and carry out proactive File Reviews assessment as part of the investigation process. Escalate for further investigation as appropriate.    
- Undertake business analysis including production of MI and internal reports reflecting work of Broker Monitoring Team.
- Identify Risk issues, escalating as appropriate to Mortgage Fraud Management
- Perform administration as part of panel removal/warning process following broker investigation.
- Administer information requests from FCA.
- Have a good knowledge of the intermediary mortgage market
- Hold broad understanding of changes and emerging issues relevant to Mortgage Risk and the work of Broker Monitoring ie: Mortgage Regulation and MMR
