Broadcast Production Engineer

Our client requires a Broadcast Production Engineer to work onsite in Osterley, West London.

Responsibilities:

- To proactively monitor the Infrastructure of the Production MAM system and other Broadcast Production Systems 24/7 to ensure correct operation
- Provide comprehensive handovers between shifts
- Liaise with Media Coordinators and Engineering Support departments for fault diagnosis and resolution
- Evaluate faults and prioritise escalation accordingly
- Communicate issues to users and Incident Management
- Initiate and implement 'workarounds' while issues are dealt with by 3rd Line Support Teams
- Assist Production Support Team in identifying and replicating faults and issues
- Coordinate change implementation for patches, configuration changes and system upgrades
- Raise and update tickets for faults and issues

Skills/Experience Required:

- Experience with MAM systems, Linux, Video Servers, Transcoding, Networking, FTP Transfers and Tape Archive Storage.
- 3 years operational support in a Live broadcast environment.
- Good understanding of all technical elements of broadcast production and associated platforms and interfaces.
- Working knowledge of multiple NL Edit platforms.
