Branch Development Officer

Our client is a one of the largest and oldest friendly societies in the UK and an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Branch Development Officer to join their Head Office team in Manchester.

The Company
Our clients' aim is to improve the quality of life for their members through active social involvement, care support and a range of financial benefits and services. There are 147 Branches nationwide who are supported by a central office in Manchester.

The Role
As Branch Development Officer you will be part of a small team providing guidance and support to volunteers working in the Branches. The principle aim being to help and support them in delivering the social element of what the Society does to a target market with is predominantly 50 . Social activity must be accessible and attractive to both existing and prospective members.

The Person
As Branch Development Officer you will be:

* A peoples' person with excellent communication skills
* Able to speak confidently in front of groups of people.
* Patient and diplomatic
* Able to negotiate, persuade, organise, plan and manage your own time

Experience of working with volunteers or in the not for profit charitable sectors is absolutely essential.

Applications MUST have a clean UK driving licence and be prepared to travel extensively with overnight stays.

The Benefits
For the role of Branch Development Officer you will receive:

* Salary of up to 25,000 per annum, dependent on experience
* Fully expensed travel and accommodation
