Board Validation Engineer Job

BOARD VALIDATION ENGINEER needed for a long term contract job opportunity with Yoh's client located in Mountain View, CA.

THE BIG PICTURE - TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- System level testing
- Board Level testing experience
- Experience testing interfaces such as PCIe, Memory, DDR2/3, USB2/3, GDDR, SATA, Flash, Ethernet, HDMI

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Candidate will be executing test procedures, test programs and scripts and doing validation testing on whole systems as well as motherboards for PC console.
- Specifically will be running test and escalating failures, debugging to identify where problem is coming from and reporting status.
- Will be responsible for updating TFS (Team Foundation Server) for updating bug database and creating test reports.
- Will work in conjunction with Silicon, Dev, and SW teams who develops the console hardware, apps, and environment to be executed.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Five (5+) years' experience in validation or electrical engineering role
- Experience with system level testing with constantly updating drivers and test apps. Being able to dig deep into what (HW, test condition, SW, or app) caused failures as they arise.
- Worked with testing systems (ie - PCs) on a large scale and managed the automated test execution (PVT) as well as log file collection, parsing, and analysis.
- Board Level testing experience (PC motherboards). Should be able to do prototype bring-up, system level debug, fault detection and failure analysis
- Experience testing interfaces such as PCIe, Memory, DDR2/3, USB2/3, GDDR, SATA, Flash, Ethernet, HDMI
- Strong documentation and communication
- BSEE (Electrical Engineering)
