Job description:
Perform migration of objects from the existing BOXI R3 environment to the new BI 4.1 environment. Work with the migration toolset of BOXI R3 & BI 4.1. You are in charge to develop and use the most efficient method to move objects from one platform to the other platform. Propose technical improvements in the set-up and maintenance of the platform. Also you are in charge of the resolution of technical issues that are the result of the migration. You will work closely together with the BO administrator who is responsible for the maintenance and operational support of the platforms. You will be able to support developers with their questions regarding the BI4.1 capabilities and changes compared to the BOXI R3 environment.
Proven knowledge of: SAP Business Objects BOXI R3 and BI 4.1., all major databases (Oracle, Sybase, SQL). Knowledge of Unix is a plus.Pragmatic mindset
IT Experience in development/server administration: yearsField experience on high critical application support (Short SLA) Knowledge of configuration and release managementKnowledge of technical architecture concepts (two tier/three tier, web services, messaging, file transfer, ETL/EAI).
