Bladelogic Deployment Automation Specialist: ---- Need 2

Overview of the role/Responsibilities:
The Deployment Automation Specialist role focusses on automating deployment process for applications and entails creating automation designs and workflows to support the deployment of applications globally. Will be responsible for deployment Scripting, testing, documentation, implementation, post implementation support and maintenance for automation deployment program.
The incumbent will be a Subject Matter Expert, with hands-on experience of 6+ years in Deployment/Build/Release function, Continuous Integration, supporting large scale complex programs with a global footprint. Technology skills include Maven, ANT, JIRA, Cruise Control, ClearCase, Subversion, Rational Clear Case, UNIX, Shell Scripting, PERL etc.
Experience in BMC Bladelogic application release automation or any other deployment automation toolset is a distinct advantage

The key remit of the role is to:

- Develop and implement automation, for deployment of global applications
- Plan, design and implement application deployment automation in co-operation with Application & Deployment teams globally.
- Contribute to innovation in the deployment automation process.
- Provide continuous input for improvements to performance, capacity sizing, resource utilization
- Develop and carry out well-defined implementation plans for application deployment automation.
- Development and deployment of application packaging solutions & application support functions
- Define, document and agree service level requirements for applications in scope
- Document automation designs, plans and knowledge transfer as part of the automation process
- Ensure strict process adherence with regard to audit and compliance

Experience/Background:

- Extensive experience in Build/Release/Deployments function for large scale and complex applications covering build & release aspects like Continuous Integration, systematic and process oriented release propagation through non-prod and prod environments
- Experience with build & release process engineering with focus on formulating and implementing technology stack agnostic processes
- Detailed hands-on knowledge of two or more flavors in UNIX family of Operating System (Unix, Solaris, Linux, AIX)
- Strong experience in Scripting technologies (Shell, PERL, NSH, python) and XML
- Knowledge of full life cycle of software development for complex multi-tiered applications
- Experience working with large, complex, global technical application projects
- Experience with Operations Support or Application Support functions
- Good understanding of implementation of complex application technical architectures & standards
