BIOLOGIST I - ENTRY LEVEL needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in CHESTERFIELD MO.

THE BIG PICTURE - TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- A molecular biologist experienced in cloning and transgene vector construction.
- Lab skills include PCR-based techniques, DNA/RNA isolation from plants and/or microorganisms, transgene vector design, construction, and characterization.
- Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
- Knowledge of DNA sequence analysis tools and construct database is desirable.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Studies the basic principles of plant and animal life and the effects of varying environmental and physical conditions.
- Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
- Works under immediate supervision.
- Sampling transgenic plants for gene expression analysis is also a routine task.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Requires a Bachelor's degree
- Zero to three (0 to 3) years of experience in the field or in a related area.
- Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
- Little creativity is required.
- Required basic lab skills include PCR-based techniques, DNA/RNA isolation from plants and/or microorganisms, transgene vector design, construction, and characterization.
- Knowledge of DNA sequence analysis tools and construct database is desirable.
