BILLING MANAGER - 6 MONTHS+ (REVENUE ASSURANCE AND TELECOMS EXPERIENCE)

The RA and Billing Manager role is the critical operational leader responsible for influencing and subsequently implementing the revenue assurance, operational change, retail and wholesale billing strategies for the business.

This role is critical for the successful integration of the combined businesses and as such provide leadership to the team during a multi-year programme of complex changes whilst maintaining performance and managing risk.

WHAT ELSE IT INVOLVES

- Foster a team culture that is aligned to the company values and focused upon delivering performance as a cohesive unit
- Work to maintain an environment where customers and third parties are billed accurately and in a timely fashion
- Work to influence strategy across the business as it relates to revenue assurance and billing
- Identify KPIs to track the performance of revenue assurance and billing and as required report on performance against objectives
- Ensure that team objectives are in place and aligned with KPIs and business objectives
- Actively manage team member performance with a focus on personal development
- Deliver team performance against objectives and within budget
- Support and influence the design and implementation of changes to the revenue assurance and billing areas
- Minimise change risk by establishing a change management process capable of being effective in an environment supported by multiple third parties and different operating methodologies
- Ensure that billing and prepay systems are operated within defined parameters/SLAs including budgets, billing schedules, print and dispatch, error and case management etc.
- Fulfil a leadership role in response to billing incidents and participate in the Customer Impacting Issues forum as required
- Manage team resources and skills to match the business requirements to the team`s workload
- As required report revenue assurance and billing performance to management
- Responsible for business operational management and strategy implementation of billing and prepay systems
- Ensure that customer billing operations and systems continually meet legal and regulatory requirements
- Work to support the wider Finance team in delivering operational change across the department
- Document and maintain a record of risks to the business as they pertain to the revenue assurance and billing area and advise management of these risks
- Develop, implement and maintain methods for revenue assurance to identify track and eliminate revenue losses from processes, systems and products
- Manage third party performance and ensure that all parties deliver performance in line with targets and meet their commitments
- National and international travel is a requirement of this role
- Any other tasks as may reasonably be requested from time to time

THE SKILLS WE'RE LOOKING FOR

- Degree (or equivalent) in a technical discipline eg engineering or IT
- Detailed knowledge and understanding of telecommunications core network, OSS and BSS technologies
- Previous experience of managing BSS including billing
- Proven track record in leading people in a complex business and technical environment
- Experience of managing people, systems, processes and controls through change
- Passionate about excellent and continually improving performance
