Big Data/Hadoop Engineer - Finance - London - Contract

BIG DATA/HADOOP ENGINEER - FINANCE - LONDON - CONTRACT

We're looking for an experience Big Data Engineer with experience in Hadoop and Java/Scala/Python to join this leading global investment bank.

The successful Big Data/Hadoop Engineer will have extensive exposure to open source and big data technologies. You will be delivering, maintaining and supporting their growing platform. The platform serves multiple areas of the business.

KEY SKILLS:

- Highly competent software developer in Java, Scala or Python
- Extensive experience in open source Big Data technologies
- Hadoop ecosystem
- Spark, HDFS, Hive
- Some exposure to Cloudera would be a nice to have
- NoSQL databases - Hbase/Cassandra ideally
- Some exposure to visualisation tools (Tableau or D3 ideally)
- Experience in the finance market would be a nice to have
