A major Network distributing organisation based in London are looking for a Big Data engineers (x2) to build out their UK Website. You will be working with a wide range of technologies like Java, Spark, Advance SQL, Redshift Integration & Unit testing
Strong experience with Java, Spark, Advance SQL, Redshift Integration & Unit testing, candidate with Scala experience would be highly desirable.
You will need to be a strong software developer, understanding coding principles and be able to debug, refactor and improve client side performance.
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE/SKILLS
- Java 1.7
- Spark
- Advanced SQL
- Dimensional warehousing (preferably Redshift)
- Integration & Unit testing
- Ability to hit the ground running/be a self-starter
HIGHLY DESIRABLE
- Amazon Redshift
- AWS data pipeline
- AWS Elastic Map Reduce (EMR)
- Scala
