The role of a Data Engineer is focused on
1) Collecting data, integrating data and supporting data analysts
2) Building out the platform
Hadoop, Scala, Spark, SQL - background in software development - need to understand the development life cycle - how do you organize data - BI, DW who have exposure to Big Data Technologies will be considered.
2+ years in Big Data technologies
3 main topics that we should be considering:
1) Spark Scala Python & good knowledge of SQL
Datamodelling experience
Need candidate ASAP - contract may roll over to the new year - candidate could be considered to be internalized
