Big Data Engineer

Currently Templeton & Partners is looking for an Experienced BIG DATA ENGINEER to join one of our international clients for a position in EINDHOVEN, THE NETHERLANDS of 3 MONTHS with option of extension.

THE TASK

Templeton & Partners is looking for a strong communicative BIG DATA ENGINEER you will contribute to fast realization of prototypes as well as effective product development, by applying deep engineering knowledge of the most relevant coding platforms and standards, in combination with proven Agile collaboration methods and test-driven development.

SOME OF YOUR KEY ACTIVITIES WILL INCLUDE:

- Maintain our data analytics infra-structure and extend it based on new requirements
- Work closely with our Data Scientists team and support them
- Integrate third-party tools to allow the collection of data from different sources
- Promote good coding practices and provide technical guidance

OUR CLIENT IS LOOKING FOR YOU TO HAVE EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS IN:

- 5 years of experience in software development.
- Experience with cloud architecture and all aspects of it: microservices, APIs, Message Queues, SQL, NoSQL, distributed services, performance, REST, JSON
- Experience with Python, RedShift and S3 Lifecycle Event Policies
- Experience in software development using Java or comparable language

NICE TO HAVE EXPERIENCE OR SKILLS:

- Experience in Spark, Cloud Foundry, Scala and/or Go are a plus
