BIG DATA ENGINEER - BRUSSELS (BELGIUM)
A Big Data Engineer is needed for a long-term project in Brussels (Belgium), the Big Data Engineer will have Devops experience and will be someone who is:
- Has a solid background in setting up and managing Linux (RHEL 6 and 7)
- Knows how to secure a full stack on a network, system and user level
- Can script, code and debug in a variety of languages
And who
- Is eager to stay connected to the outside world of technological (r)evolutions
- Is able to build, document and defend his/her reasoning to a range of audiences
- Is meticulous and lazy at the same time, striving for high quality with the aim to automate and continuously improve the situation.
You will be working in our Analytics area as and be responsible for the setup and management of our exploratory Hadoop platform. Being familiar with Hortonworks Data Platform with Ambari, Ranger, Hive, Yarn and Spark is considered an asset, as well as Dutch and French.
Proficiency in English however is a must. You will need to both works autonomously as well as in a team, resourceful to find creative solutions.
