Big Data Engineer wanted for our Zurich based client in the banking industry. Your experience/skills: Several years of experience as a software engineer, recent exposure to Big Data technologies is advantageous Strong background in programming with Java, Scala or Python Proven expertise in command line scripting in a Linux environment Familiarity with working in high profile projects and profound knowledge of handling sensitive data Working experience with Spark, HDFS, Hive and the Hadoop ecosystem (ideally with exposure to Cloudera CDH / EDH) Languages: fluent English both written and spoken Your tasks: Engineering of data pipelines (primarily batch, increasingly intra day / near real-time) Integrating and evaluating new big data and data science technologies Developing platform components Consulting application groups on how to utilize the platform and technologies Engaging with groups for PoCs and full platform on boarding Start: 11/2016 Duration: 12MM++ Location: Zurich, Switzerland Ref.Nr.: BH9896 Does that sound interesting?
