Our world renowned client is seeking an Engineer with solid Hadoop experience including using languages and tools such as: Hive, Flume, Sqoop, and Oozie. Candidate must also have Certification on Big Data technologies. Experience in data visualization tools such as Tableau will be considered a plus.

This Engineer will be part of a team that will perform Big Data analytics using transactional data.

RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

- Understanding of how to collect the logs produced by the transaction processing system and loading them on to a Hadoop cluster.
- Understanding of the format of the logs.
- Extracting data from relational database tables.
- Creating and managing Hadoop Oozie jobs.
- Organizing and displaying the data using Hive query language.
- Gathering requirements for reports and generating them using a tool like Tableau.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- 2+ years of Hadoop experience including using languages and tools such as:

Hive, Flume, Sqoop, and Oozie
- Certification on Big Data technologies, especially
- Hadoop
- Hive
- Flume
- Pig
- Sqoop
- Oozie
- Experience in data visualization tools such as Tableau
- Experience with relational database schemas in SQL Server and Oracle
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Good communication skills
