Big Data Architect

My client based in Brussels, Belgium are looking for a Big Data Consultant/Data Scientist for a 6 month contract role starting in August.

Responsibilities:

*Identify and understand data sources within the business, including structured, unstructured and big data.
*Recommend and use a variety of tools to deliver analytics based on the data.
*Cross reference data from a variety of sources in order to create insights which support business objectives.
*Drive initiatives to improve customer experience, improve and add digital products and improve monetisation.
*Go beyond data and stats to create business logic usable in sales and planning.

Experience required:

Extensive experience with big data platforms such as Hadoop, Spark, Storm, Cassandra, HBase, NoSQL, Elastic (Elasticsearch), MapReduce, Pig, Hive, etc.
Ability to utilise them in enterprise, production settings
Experience with any relational database
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Experience in delivering large enterprise level applications
Should be strong in conceptualising and problem solving
Highly analytical, with structured thinking and decision making
