Bids and Projects Buyer

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Bids and Projects Senior Buyer to join a leading organisation based in Basingstoke.

Experience Required;
*Experience of working in a senior purchasing role within an engineering led hi-tech environment would be a distinct advantage.
*Supply chain exposure within electronics and of mechanical drawn parts coupled with the understanding of manufacturing processes would be desirable.
*Project management exposure relating to material acquisition is essential.
*Commercial knowledge is regarded as essential, as is a sound knowledge and experience of company processes particularly in relation to Purchasing.
*Previous knowledge of export compliance particularly with regard to ITAR regulations is highly desirable
*Well developed human relations skills are needed to motivate, influence and understand people both inside and outside the company.
*Education to Degree level is desirable.
*High level of computer literacy is essential
*Continual learning is involved due to changes in purchasing philosophy and in customer contractual conditions and government regulations
