BI Soultions Architect

A leading financial services company seek an experienced BI Solutions Architect for a 3 month initial contract based in the Docklands.

We are looking for someone who can demonstrate;

Proven track record in developing in Cognos 8/10 including:
Cognos DecisionStream
Cognos Data Manager
Cognos Report Studio
Cognos Framework Manager
Experience of ETL development and implementation
Experience of Data Warehouse design, development and delivery.
Proven track record of working with:
Oracle 9i and/or 10g
SQL
Toad
Windows XP
Experience with Datamodelling for analysis and reporting
Experience of working in a standard project environment
Focus on detail and a commitment to excellent customer service.
Good interpersonal and negotiating skills, with the ability to influence internal and
external stakeholders to achieve results.
Strong analytical and numeracy skills
Good oral and written communication skills
Ability to apply strategic and innovative thinking to problem solving within a regulatory
context.
Ability to take a holistic view of the organisation and its information needs.
Sound commercial approach to identifying solutions.
Ability to provide expert advice to senior business and IS stakeholders on complex
programmes and technical issues in a dynamic environment
Ability to apply strategic and innovative thinking to problem solving in a pragmatic way
Ability to grasp issues of a business nature and assess the technical impact, and vice
versa
Experience in managing and motivating technical experts in a Matrix environment
Good level of commercial awareness and experience of working with multiple solutions
service providers
