BI Project Manager

For our customer we are looking for a BI Project Manager free-lance with the opportunity to move into a permanent position with leading Advanced Analytics and Big Data company.

The candidate will be responsible for every aspect associated with the effective management of Project Delivery within the client organisation. Along with the BI domain specific skills he/she must have excellent people management skills.
PM will have the responsibility of successful project delivery as well as achieving key metrics of assessments of projects, project Revenue, Gross Margin.
PM will be required to have strong analytical skills, technical and domain knowledge.
The role will include travel to other business units and client places as required.
In addition, there are specific reporting responsibilities, which are also listed below. The following part defines required role specific skills.

Duties & Job Responsibilities:

1.Project Management 
- Responsible for entire end-to-end project delivery.
- Responsible for defining the scope and plan for the projects.
- Responsible for gathering requirements in approved format and keeping track of them till the end of project.
- Responsible for preparing and maintaining Project and Quality plan for the project.
- Responsible for prioritizing requirements and planning release cycles.
- Responsible for tracking and monitoring the status of the project based on the Project Plans, Quality Plans and  ensure risks, quality concerns, schedule slippages are identified and mitigated.
- Responsible for estimating, planning and assigning resources.
- Responsible for identifying stakeholders and establish communication Matrix.
- Responsible for highlighting the projects risks to key stakeholders and take appropriate measures to mitigate them.
- Responsible for engaging with onsite counterpart and client managers.
- Responsible for ensuring availability of human and non-human resources throughout life cycle of project.
- Responsible for developing and maintaining good working relationships within the project team.
- Responsible for ensuring customer complaints, defects, concerns are tracked and necessary corrective and preventive actions are taken.

2.People Management:
- Responsible for mentoring and grow the people to build a truly learning team.
- Responsible for performance reviews of all the project participants.
- Responsible for identifying training requirements of team.
- Responsible for recognizing and recommending promoting right individuals. 
- Responsible for managing the resource forecasting and planning to ensure all project tasks are adequately resourced to meet schedules and deliverables.

3.Quality
- Responsible for tracking the Quality Assurance aspect of the project ensuring that the policies are adhered to during the project life cycle.
- Responsible for ensuring standards and processes are followed by all project team members.
- Responsible for identifying and driving opportunities for improvements in policies, practices and procedures on an ongoing basis.
- Responsible for working with the client for reviewing and analysing Project metrics to ensure customer satisfaction and ensure project is executed within set benchmarks.
- Responsible for helping client Organization to build Knowledge Base and Best Practices by adding project learning s.

Skill set Requirements:

- Overall 10-12 years in IT with at least last 3 years in project management.
- Technical and domain background into business Intelligence.
- Managed a team of 10 plus.
- Excellent understanding of various delivery models.
- Exposure to onsite as well as offshore.
- Strong exposure to project management like project planning, tracking, estimations.
- Clear understanding of project life cycle management.
- Experience in handling multiple projects.
- Exemplary leadership qualities and people skills.
- Good exposure to ISO level process methodologies.
- Understanding of project audits.
- Good Analytical and communication skills.
- Excellent client interaction skills.

Qualification

- Engineering or Equivalent Degree
- Technical/PMP Certification added advantage
