BI Operation & Support Specialist

For a major international client in Lausanne, we are looking for a:

BI OPERATION & SUPPORT SPECIALIST

Within our client's Business Intelligence Department, the BI Operations & Support Specialist will ensure the smooth running of all the BI services, monitoring the application, supporting the business and ensuring 2nd and 3rd level support.

Responsibilities will include:

- OPERATION MANAGER (own the production,Gate Keeper production, monitor up/down and analyse high-level trends, log incidents)
- RUN - INCIDENT MANAGER (manage incident life cycle, ensure incident creation, identify the product impacted, assign the incident, follow-up/escalation, close the incident)
- RUN - BI SUPPORT AND SERVICES (support the business to understand the available BI products, understand possible discrepancies highlighted by the business, analyse the assigned incidents, propose corrections, develop patch to fix the incidents, propose BI enhancements)
- RUN - DATABASE ADMINISTRATOR (*ENVIRONMENT MANAGER) (monitor the physical data that the project is adding to the existing BI environment, work closely with the metadata manager to evaluate how the BI is being altered, ensure efficient performance of the BI environment, design/implement/tune database schemas, performance testing and tuning, manage storage space and memory)

Candidates must be able to demonstrate experience in the following areas:

- Business Intelligence
- Data Warehousing
- Oracle Data Integrator (ODI)
- PLSQL
- DBA
- ETL development
- Cognos 8 Reporting tools (Cubes and ad hoc reports) would be an advantage
- Data Mining (SPSS) would be an advantage

THIS IS A CONTRACT POSITION WITH AN INTERNATIONAL CLIENT, STARTING ASAP AND UNTIL THE END OF 2014 IN THE FIRST INSTANCE. THE CLIENT IS LOCATED IN LAUSANNE. INFO-TECH WILL PROVIDE ADVICE AND SUPPORT THROUGH YOUR RELOCATION IF YOU ARE WORKING IN SWITZERLAND FOR THE FIRST TIME.
