BI/EPM ODI Technical Developer

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Design and develop the necessary data models, including agreement as to the appropriate source for each data element (EPM, PeopleSoft GL, PeopleSoft HR etc.)
- Design and deliver all required ETLs in a way that allows client to manage the scheduling of the individual ETL refreshes (some ETL's may be scheduled daily, some more or less often).
- Design and build the Data Warehouse model.
- Design and deliver a fully operational RPD (including Physical layer, BMM layer and Presentation layer development work), that is consistent with and compatible with the existing BIApps RPD, such that analyses can be easily developed based on data from both PeopleSoft and EPM.
- Perform Unit testing to validate that the data in the resulting subject areas reconciles to the source data.
- Liaise with the BI Project Manager,EPM Business Analyst and/or EPM Technical Developer where required to understand how utilizes the EPM data and to address data and/or configuration issues.
- Deliver Technical documentation for the solution, including design and build details for the data model, ETLs, RPD and any justifications for any design decisions made.
- Work with client's internal BI Administrator to address any application or technical design issues, or issues that may have implications for client's future BI Architecture and DWH strategy
- Undertake Knowledge Transfer to the client BI Expert and EPM Technical Developer with respect to the data model, ETL design and RPD design.
- Provide assistance to the client BI Expert (if required) with respect to the migration of the development to client's ACC and PROD environments. 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience designing BI data models based on reporting requirements combining data from multiple applications - ideally around Hyperion EPM and PeopleSoft
- Developer experience with ODI, designing and building ETLs to extract data from Hyperion into an Oracle BI data warehouse
- Experience designing and developing Oracle BI RPD layers, including Physical layer, BMM layer and Presentation layer development work, joining data from multiple applications to ensure that it is consistent with and compatible to enable efficient analyses development
- Experience of Oracle's pre-packaged OBIA business analytics, ideally covering PeopleSoft finance, procurement and human resources;
- Experience of a federated data warehouse with multiple data sources
