BI Engineer

We are looking for an outstanding BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE ENGINEER that can analyze data from dozens of different services, make sense of the results and be able to explain what it all means to both developers and VPs. As a BI Engineer working on the analytics platform, you will be developing and supporting the analytic technologies that give our customers flexible and structured access to their data. You will be responsible for designing and implementing a platform using third-party and in-house reporting tools, modelling metadata, building reports and administering the platform software.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

You know and love working with Business Intelligence tools, can model multidimensional datasets, and can partner with customers to answer key business questions. You are analytical and creative, and you don't quit.

You will also have the opportunity to display your skills in the following areas:

- Design, implement, and support a platform providing ad-hoc access to large datasets.
- Interface with business customers, gathering requirements and delivering complete reporting solutions.
- Own the design, development, and maintenance of ongoing metrics, reports, analyses, dashboards, etc. to drive key business decisions.
- Participate in strategicCOGNOS PREFERRED
- Experience in gathering requirements and formulating business metrics for reporting
- Excellent knowledge of Oracle SQL and Excel
- Strong verbal/written communication and data presentation skills, including an ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment required
- Customer facing skills required

Preferred Qualifications

- Direct payments experience
- Working knowledge of Linux
- MBA or other advanced degree
- Management and leadership experience an added bonus
