BI Developer. ETL, Microstrategy, Abinitio, Informatica, BOBJ

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Analyses requirements, designs and develops Business Intelligence applications to meet business needs.

Actively participates in peer-reviews in order to set and maintain the highest level of quality for self and others.

Supports business users on answering complex business questions via BI tools and ad-hoc queries.

Trains the business community on the technology developed by the team in order to empower self-service BI when applicable.

Participates in requirements gathering sessions; works together with users to find the best possible solution to a given business problem.

Troubleshoots technical issues at all levels.

Experience developing in BI environments (MSTR, Cognos, BOBJ, etc).

Familiarity with MicroStrategy architecture & reporting development a strong plus.

ETL experience (Informatica, DataStage, Ab Initio etc).

Fluent in SQL.

Skilled in source system analysis and ad-hoc data requests.

Skilled in data flow diagnostics - able to dig into any portion of the data flow and find/fix issues.

Strong communication - able to understand and communicate clearly the requirements and business value of data projects.

Data modelling experience a plus.

Familiarity with linux/unix required, Scripting/parsing experience desired.

Experience as a software developer a strong plus.
