BI Consultant- BO

I am currently seeking a BI consultant for a fantastic opportunity to join a BI consultancy with a very good starting salary and career progression opportunities.

Candidates will be skilled in the delivery of solutions using SAP BusinessObjects front-end presentation tools and should have at least 3 years' experience in BI de-livery which they will need to demonstrate with a strong CV detailing previous client engagements and work history.
We are looking for flexible and pragmatic candidates who can assess and translate business requirements into technical solutions providing a significant value add to the client in the process.
Job Function
As an experienced member of the Business Intelligence capability, the candidate will primarily be responsible for the design and delivery of presentation reporting and visualisation content to our client base via the SAP Business Objects platform utilising available delivery mechanisms such as Mobile. He/she will be involved with all project lifecycle activities including requirements gathering and analysis, content definition and testing.
The candidate will be expected to work across a range of industry sectors on a vari-ety of client projects with exposure to the latest BI technologies. Projects are lo-cated throughout the UK with potential for occasional overseas client engagements also a possibility.
The successful candidate must be comfortable with working in a wide range of working environments, possess excellent communication skills and have the ability to translate technical information to non-technical individuals.
The candidate will report directly to one of the BI capability leads.
Key Technical Requirements/Experience
Advanced skills in the following SAP BusinessObjects technologies are essential:
? Web Intelligence (XI 3.1 / BI 4.0)
? Dashboards (formerly Xcelsius) (XI 3.1 / BI 4.0)
? Universe Designer / Information Design Tool (XI 3.1 / BI 4.0)

It is highly desirable that the candidate also has the following skills:
? SAP BW Query Designer / SAP BEx Analyzer
Experience of reporting against SAP data sources (BW/ERP) and familiarity with SAP BI concepts and connectivity is essential.
The candidate will also be expected to demonstrate good experience in the follow-ing areas:
? Ability to understand complex user requirements and suggest appropriate so-lutions/tools
? Ability to capture business, functional and non-functional requirements, and author BI content design documents
? Ability to design, develop and implement solutions which are grounded in in-dustry best practices and techniques
? Comfortable in dealing with the different stakeholders found within organisa-tions, both technical and non-technical, and at all levels
? Must be willing to own and take responsibility for delivering quality solutions
? An awareness of dimensional data warehouse modeling
? Good SQL skills (e.g. the ability to create stored procedures, functions etc)
Skills in other reporting, analysis and visualisation technologies would be advanta-geous.
The following skills are also desirable:
? Crystal Reports (XI/2008/2011)
? Data Services (XI 3.1 / BI 4.0)
? SAP BusinessObjects platform administration (XI 3.1 / BI 4.0)
The candidate should show a strong awareness of current trends and technologies within the Business Intelligence industry and industry accreditations will be looked on favourably.
