BI ANALYST (BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE ANALYST) - OLAP/ETL/QLIK

BI Analyst required for a client in Brussels who speaks French and English fluently. The project aims at delivering scalable, robust and integrated BI and analytics services consolidating relevant data available within the clients information systems, with a view to:

- Enable performance management using relevant, easy to understand performance information on all areas managed or supervised by the client (grant management, inputs, outputs and results of clients programmes, budget and finance, etc.)
- Providing key stakeholders including more than 60 national agencies with state of the art analytics supported by multidimensional (data mining, cross-analyses) capabilities;
- Providing targeted populations of internal and external users with context-dependent, convenient and secure access to relevant automated reporting solutions, including Business Objects and interactive analytics tools such as Qlikview;
- Providing enhanced capabilities for addressing strategic business questions effectively, including when faced with combined high volumes and complexity of reporting requests;
- Ensuring the use of best practices in Business Intelligence and Analytics and investing in high-value projects;

SPECIFIC EXPERIENCE

Minimum 9 years of experience in one or more of the following:

- Business Intelligence, requirements analysis and development tools (OLAP/data mining tool - including data marts, ETL modules, universes, reports, dashboards)
- Qlik technology: Qlikview worksheets (QVW), Qlikview Data Storage (QVD), Qlik sense, Qlik Analytics Platform. (certification an advantage)
- Data quality analysis

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

- In-depth knowledge of Business Intelligence and dashboarding tools
- In-depth knowledge of relational database systems and SQL, in particular with a view to address data quality issues
- Good knowledge of modelling tools
- Good knowledge of online analytical data processing (OLAP) and data mining tools
- Ability to participate in multi-lingual meetings (English and French)
- Capability of integration in an international/multi-cultural environment, rapid self-starting capability and experience in working in team.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

- Minimum 18 years of relevant studies and experience after the secondary school
- Minimum 6 years of IT professional experience.
- Experience with BI reporting tools

DESCRIPTION OF TASKS

- The tasks that are to be performed include:
- Assist business owners in defining performance dashboards and gathering business requirements for BI and analytics
- Development of reports and analytical dashboards
- Data analysis and modelling,
- Definition of metrics and key indicators,
- Design and development of reporting applications and BI solutions,
- Elaboration of test programs
- Writing of technical documentation
- Assistance with deployment and configuration of the BI systems
- Participation in meetings with business and project teams.
