BENCH SCIENTIST III needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in King of Prussia, PA.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- The successful candidate will use their pharmaceutical and drug delivery expertise to develop and deploy novel particle engineering platforms using microfluidics.
- Work in multidisciplinary teams and at the interface with chemistry, formulation, engineering, biology and physical properties to identify and solve complex technical and translational problems with innovative solutions.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- PhD or M. Sc. in Pharmaceutical sciences, Chemical Engineering, Material Sciences, or related field with at least 4 years relevant industrial experience in the pharmaceutical industry
- Demonstrated experience of development and application of novel particle formation processes for drug delivery
- Demonstrated experience in the use of microfluidics/micro capillary systems including configuration, high throughput experimentation, etc
- Demonstrated experience of application of novel processes for drug delivery in a therapeutic context through oral, systemic or topical drug delivery
- Demonstrated expertise in particle properties characterization chemical, biological and physical attributes to identify and solve technical challenges encountered during the development of particle formation and formulation processes
- A working knowledge of drug development process, organic chemistry, formulation and material sciences or biopharmaceutical processes
- Excellent practical laboratory skills
- Strong team working skills including the ability to work in multi-disciplinary scientific teams and influence project team members outside your direct field of expertise

BONUS POINTS! OTHERWISE KNOWN AS PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Proven ability to lead the development and validation of drug delivery platform in a range of settings and modes of delivery for diverse APIs (small molecules, peptides, oligonucleotides, antibodies, etc)
- Proven ability of developing and applying relevant in vivo/in vitro characterization protocols and assays to assess novel platforms for drug delivery and relating those to target product profiles in drug development
- In-depth knowledge of physical, biological and chemical characterization techniques such as surface characterization, microscopy, thermal measurement, SEC, LC-MS, etc
