Banking SNR Application Support Analyst

This is a fantastic, permanent application support role working for a well established financial software vendor based in Central London. This particular vendor deals with cross asset class, trading platforms which are used widely by investment banks, asset managers and Hedgefunds and you can expect full exposure to all of these. They are currently recruiting for TWO roles; one which is a more senior level application support analyst and also an entry level opportunity. The senior application support vacancy, they are looking for a candidate who has had excellent exposure to an application support role, ideally within a financial institution. Specifically, this role will be looking after a mixture of technologies, but your main responsibility will be an algorithmic trading platform which his built on Java, so being able to read Java is advantageous, but not necessary. Critical skills for this role include: - Solid Problem solving skills (breaking down large, complex problems in a logical and analytical role - Solid Unix experience - ideally having exposure to Unix scripting (Shell, PERL, Bash etc) You have to have at least one of the following: - FIX Connectivity knowledge - Exchanges (e.g. LIFFE, EUREX etc Or - Options Pricing Knowledge This is the fantastic opportunity for someone to work in a highly stable and successful company where you will be trained and valued by your team.
