Band 8a Psychologist – Camhs

Our client has a locum job vacancy for a Band 8a Psychologist to work with a CAMHS team based in Berkshire. This vacancy has an initial 3 month contract and the pay rate for this role is 30-35 per hour (limited company worker).

Duties:
- Working within a Tier 3 CAMHS team
- Managing a caseload of children and adolescents
- Conducting various assessments and providing individual therapy
- Providing counselling and support to the client and their families, and engaging with other professionals relevant to each client, such as GP's, psychiatrists, social services, safeguarding, teachers, police, youth workers etc
- Conducting and reviewing care plans and risk management plans for each client as well as conducting therapeutic reports

Requirements:
All applicants must be registered with the HCPC, be a member of an appropriate governing body and have recent experience working within a similar role. Experience band 7 candidates will also be considered.
