Projektbeschreibung
- The Backup & Recovery specialist is responsible for leading the technical design, implementation and migration of a new backup & recovery solution.
- Align with (technical stakeholders) like architects, service managers, delivery managers, application owners and key-users.
- Act as technical lead to realize the delivery of approved IT infrastructure projects/changes on time, according to agreed scope and within agreed timeframe.
- Steer the IT infrastructure engineers, potentially involved third parties
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Act as the technical lead for the backup & recovery project.
- Work in close cooperation with the technical application managers to translate their requirements into the design.
- Discuss, challenge and align with (possible) vendors and suppliers on their solutions and proposals.
- Communicate and align with the various IT departments about the project in order to set the right expectations.
REQUESTED SKILLS
- Bachelor/Master degree in IT or Business-IT Management.
- 5-10 years of practical IT backup & recovery experience.
- Excellent knowledge of several backup & recovery solutions, including but not limited to application backup, database backup, file share backups, cloud backup and deduplication.
- Broad experience with validating requirements, writing designs and test & acceptance plans.
- Broad experience with migration of backup solutions on infrastructure and application level.
- Broad knowledge of IT components and solutions, including but not limited to NetApp storage, databases (Oracle,MySQL,MSSQL), network, Linux, Solaris, Windows server, VMware ESX
- Broad knowledge of applications, including but not limited to SAP, Office 365
- Knowledge and understanding of services and processes (ITIL)
