BACKUP ADMINISTRATOR, ALICANTE SPAIN

An experienced Backup Administrator with at least 3 years experience in the specified technical environment is required for our English-speaking client in Alicante for a long-term assignment, extendable.

Advanced: backup management and administration using Netbackup, Legato or similar

Basic: Knowledge of administration of Linux and Unix environment

Basic: Storage Management knowledge

REQUIRED SKILLS:

- Working knowledge on NETBACKUP Administration
- IP Network, WAN and LAN free (SAN) based data backup design and configuration (familiarity)
- Data protection and backup recovery solutions familiarity such as using virtual tape, disk to disk to tape, data replication
- Experience in managing SAN on heterogeneous environment (Unix/Windows)
- Unix systems administration experience
- File System and Database Familiarity
- Should be familiar with ITIL processes

DESIRED SKILLS:

- Experience on Enterprise-class Storage from HDS
- Fiber Switches/Directors from Brocade (Zoning/VSAN/ISL setup)
- Symantec NetBackup Appliance familiarity
- Sun Storage Tek familiarity

Laptop needed.

LANGUAGES:

High level of both spoken and written English. Minimum accepted level B2 of the CEF (Common European Framework) framework
