BA - Ediscovery - Edinburgh - Financial Sercvices - Contract

My client, a globally recognised, leading Financial Services organisation has a fantastic opportunity for a skilled Business Analysts to join on a contract basis.

6 month contract initially (scope to renew), competitive day rate, Edinburgh based.

The successful candidate will have thorough eDiscovery (EDRM) Model knowledge, alongside a proven track record of Business Analysis across a variety of project methodologies

Background:

The purpose of this role is to work collaboratively as part of the team to support the planning, organizing, control and delivery of a range of small, medium and large sized projects within the Data and Analytics portfolio ensuring that projects are delivered on time and capable of achieving benefits defined in the business case.

Business Analysts will work collaboratively with project sponsors and stakeholders to ensure the business requirements in clearly defined and documented and all risks and issues are managed.

Core Duties:

- Utilise specialist knowledge and/or experience of business areas or products to ensure delivery of effective and innovative solution design and problem resolution.
- Ensure contentions between divisional change portfolios are identified and understood and that effective and innovative recommendations are proposed as part of business solution design
- Ensure key strategic principles are considered as part of business solution design and include due consideration in respect of the banks requirements (eg approach to eDiscovery solution and utilisation across the group)
- Own and manage the initiation, definition, delivery and closure of complex business analysis work packages.
- Manages the analysis of complex cross divisional or pan group data to identify business issues and opportunities.
- Provides high quality detailed analysis, design and build processes to improve operational efficiency and customer service.
- Support complex cross divisional or pan group projects or larger components of multi-discipline projects.
- Builds and leads collaborative business partner relationships.
- Delivery of complete and accurate analysis of business information to generate appropriate business solutions, approved and signed off by relevant stakeholders (internal and external) to meet programme needs.
- Support the Project Manager in progress reporting, costs and benefit tracking and the recording of key actions and project decisions.
- Work with Legal Discovery Management users to organize, analyse and data feed definition to data mapping and working with QA team to facilitate feed testing.

Required skills/experience

- Good experience of working in the eDiscovery domain.
- Experience/understanding of business process reengineering and business modelling concepts, business systems development and analysis.
- Basic hands on data analysis skills - ability to query existing data stores and use analytical tools support requirements, decisions and recommendations.
- Strong analytical and writing skills, to include solid experience in writing functional and technical specifications.
- Proven data analysis and data verification experience.
- Proving solving abilities, capable of objectively reviewing and understanding issues and tenacious in seeking quick, creative solutions.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to adjust to changing priorities while multitasking effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and demonstrated ability to interact with all technical and non-technical members of the organization including senior management.
- Experience with statistical reporting and analysis.
- Good Project Management skills and/or substantial exposure to project-based work structures.
- Proficient with Microsoft products-Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and Project Office.
