Axway API Gateway Expert

My client is a multinational IT consultancy and business Solutions Company placed among the Big 4' most valuable IT services brands worldwide and the world's 10th largest IT services provider. They are current working with a major European Bank Company looking for an AxWay API Gateway expert to join their project based in Brussels, Belgium.

Rate: 500€/day
Duration: 6 months initially extendable - (freelance)
Location: Bruxelles, Belgium
Start Date: ASAP
Languages: English (French or Dutch are a good plus)

Context:

In the IT department of bank, our team is responsible of setting up, configuring and supporting the API Gateway that will tomorrow be used to expose securely the APIs that we want to share with our partners. You will be in charge, jointly with the team, of the design, setup, configuration, administration and (2nd and 3rd line) support of this platform in its early days. As an expert of the product, you will be the main accountable for the correct setup of the platform based on our requirements and the progressive coaching of our staff

Skills:

Responsibilities and main tasks:
Setup, and configuration of our Partners Gatweays and Portals
Iterative improvements to the platform.
Coaching and training of team staff: collaborative work.
Advice and assistance: support functional projects in the design, implementation, configuration, test and documentation of APIs to/from partners.
Operational support: configure monitoring of the platform and take corrective action when (part of) the service is degraded/stopped. Contribute actively in restoring the service (incident management process) and in the analysis of the root cause and its structural resolution (problem management).
Analytics & Configuration management: follow the resource usage trend and advise on the configuration actions when capacity thresholds are reached.

Relevant experience on API Gateway (& related products: portal, policy studio, manager, ) engineering and operational management
Sound knowledge of Security principles (authentication, authorization, encryption ): OpenIDConnect, OAuth.
Broad knowledge of integration and data exchange concepts, trends, protocols, and languages (eg: SOAP, JSON, REST, XML, Swagger/OpenAPI, ).

Recent successful proven experience(s) in similar/comparable scope
Continuous integration (devops) tools & platforms: Jenkins, maven, git
