AVP Java/J2EE Developer

One of the financial industries leading electronic trading platform teams is looking to hire a J2EE expert to help expand a high transaction, time critical and highly visible foreign exchange product. This is a small elite group of Java developers who have created what the industry is calling the top trading platform to hit the market. Currently they are in the process of expanding this platform across multiple asset classes, exploring new technologies and creating more availability. This team is a technology team that has created a product that is used by investment banks all around the world. The ideal candidate will be someone who can solve mission critical problems in a fast paced environment as well as had experience developing a high transaction big data product and delivering it to the market. There is no offshore team or contractors, everyone sits in downtown Boston. In many ways the candidate will be stepping into a start up environment, but will have the funding and support of one of the largest international financial services providers.

Bellow is a list of requirements:

* Minimum of 5 years of experience with Java and JEE technologies
* Strong knowledge and experience with data modeling and database development SQL and preferably Oracle
* Strong knowledge of XML technologies
* Strong skills with Object Oriented design and code refactoring

In addition these skills will be a major plus:

* Messaging/JMS
* Groovy language
* Spring/Hibernate
* FIX protocol
* .NET/C#
