Avionic Mission Systems Engineer/Aircraft Avionic Systems

Avionic Mission Systems Engineer/Aircraft Avionic Systems required for our global leading defence company based at Boscombe Down. The contractors are required to work within the Avionics and Mission Systems teams deployed on any number of fixed and/or rotary wing aircraft. The contractors will be carrying out technical evaluations of the avionics systems in support of UK MOD Release to Service recommendations and independent assessment of the related aircraft safety case. The contractor may be required to travel to other industry sites.

EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE:

MUST HAVE:

- Knowledge of aircraft avionic systems and aircraft operating environments.

IDEALLY WOULD HAVE:

- Experience of DOORS software tool.
- Knowledge of UK Release to Service process and regulatory environment.
- Completed RAF GD Aerosystems course or equivalent post graduate course.

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:

MUST HAVE:

- Sound knowledge of engineering principles and avionics systems.
- Ability to work in team environment.
- Ability to understand engineering qualification processes and make evidence based engineering judgements.

IDEALLY WOULD HAVE:

- Ability to technically lead small scale avionics-based projects.
