Position Title: AV Editor
Position Overview
A growing multimedia company is offering an exciting opportunity to a dedicated and enthusiastic individual with previous experience in an Audio Video environment. This is an initial short-term contract with potential for extension.
Position Responsibilities
To ensure quality of content whilst consistently meeting or exceeding post-production schedules
Completing post-production on instructor audio and video files in line with defined Skillsoft processes.
Ensuring the timely logging and turnaround of all audio and video pickups
Carrying out QA checks on content produced by the AV Team
Liaising with internal and external production teams, and other points of contact, as required
Working efficiently in conjunction with other members of the AV Team
Identifying procedures and technologies to improve the running of the AV Team.
Be willing to assume other special responsibilities as directed by the AV Production Manager
Desired Skills and Experience
2/3 years' experience in an Audio Video environment
A good general understanding of computer technology
An in-depth knowledge of Internet technologies and the restrictions associated with using audio and video in that environment
An in-depth knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro and/or other similar video editing applications
An in-depth knowledge of SoundForge and/or other similar audio editing/recording applications
A very good understanding of Audio & Video codecs, their functions and uses
The ability to communicate constructively and sensitively with a wide range of people
The ability to prioritize work and manage time effectively
The ability to think in a creative, logical, and analytical manner
Ability to work on own initiative
Flexibility and constructive response to changing deadlines
Good organizational skills
